Self-delivery for businesses and private customers

We accept scrap iron (magnetic) and used metal (non-magnetic) such as copper, aluminum, brass, zinc, tin, lead, and cables. They are assigned to certain categories by value and compensated for by weight.

The following should not be included in scrap: Tires (any type), refrigerators, freezers, monitors, television sets, computers and accessories, printers, copiers, electronic waste, plastic containers and tubs, gas cylinders, wood waste, tanks that have not been cleaned, greases and oils, fluorescent tubes

1. Delivery personnel drive the vehicle onto the truck scale and report to the office.
2. The vehicle is weighed as loaded without driver or delivery personnel.
3. Scrap and used metal is then unloaded: Scrap iron can be unloaded directly into the box for scrap. Our employees will accept used metal at the metal drop-off point and weigh it individually.
4. Delivery personnel then drive the vehicle back onto the truck scale and report to the office for settlement.
5. The vehicle is weighed. The total weight of metals will be deducted from the weight difference during settlement and compensated for individually as noted in the settlement. The rest of the weight will be compensated for at the scrap iron (mixed scrap) rate.
6. Delivery personnel receive a settlement credit. The credited amount is paid on the spot in cash.

Delivery personnel are always responsible for unloading the vehicle. If, for personal reasons, this should be impossible, or should there be large, bulky parts to unload, our employees on site will be happy to help. Excavators, forklifts, and wheel loaders are also available. Unloading is at your own risk!

Delivery is on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 7:30 AM to noon and from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.

The office is staffed from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, but lunch break is from 12:30 to 1:00 PM. Our premises are closed during lunch break. Please do not drive into the yard during this time.

Since we accept only material with positive market value, delivery is not only free of charge – delivery personnel even receive compensation. If there are impurities in or between the delivered material, we reserve the right to consider that fact during settlement and, as necessary, apply a fee to the invoice and deduct it from remuneration.

Our compensation for delivered scrap and used metal is at the current market price. The material delivered is assigned to certain categories by value and compensated for by weight.

Scrap and used metal constitute a raw material that we process and return to the raw-material cycle by such means as selling it to a steel mill. When global industrial demand for steel and non-ferrous metals is high (when there is high demand for new cars, for example), more raw material is needed. So the price for raw material rises. When the global economy weakens and less is produced, there is less demand for raw material, and prices fall. In times of crisis, prices are very low. Prices for scrap and used metal are thus a direct indicator for how productive the global economy is. We pass on fluctuations in current market prices directly.

Whoever delivers scrap must identify himself with an ID card or driver’s license. This is because we prepare a settlement document that must bear the complete name and address of the person delivering the scrap. 

Since we prepare a settlement document, we need company data, especially the tax number. The easiest way to provide this information is by presenting a letterhead or a statement from the tax office.

That usually depends on the quantity. We can afford to pick up scrap only if there is a large quantity. If that is the case, we would be happy to place a container and pick it up when you have filled it.

Small quantities typically produced by individual households must be delivered.

Yes, you fundamentally can. But scrap and used metal is turned over and immediately driven away every day, so we have little in stock. And we do not collect and store incidentals in a targeted manner (no incidentals or spare parts warehouse, for instance), since our sorting is based solely on content of such material as copper and aluminum. You can look around the premises and try to find the part you need. If you succeed, you can buy it based on the price of the material it contains.
